Help Food On The Move Welcome Displaced Afghan Families to Tulsa
OPERATION: WELCOME HOME
In September, Afghan families began arriving in Tulsa, Oklahoma in need of food and shelter. Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma approached Food On The Move to help lead efforts to provide these guests with three meals a day, and eventually a monthly supply of groceries.
Food On The Move has assembled a team of volunteers, local chefs, language partners, and key community partners to ensure each individual is welcomed and feels a sense of safety here in Tulsa.
We believe in the power of food and service to strengthen community and bring dignity to all people. We are proud to serve alongside Catholic Charities, the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, and so many other partners with the same commitment and dedication that we bring to the Tulsa community every day.
